Key Club and World Connections Club volunteer at the Renaissance Fair

On Saturday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 5, Key Club and World Connections Club members will be volunteering at the 10th annual Fishers Renaissance Faire.

“Some members will be passing out programs to the public or collecting tickets, or even greeting the public,” Key Club secretary Sarah Ali said. “If a member is volunteering for [the] Headless Horseman [event], then they will help kids make crafts or help people load in the hayride.”

Some of the activities fairgoers will be able to enjoy are dancing, comedy skits, art shows, and the Knights of Valor Joust Troupe.

Meanwhile, World Connections Club (WCC) assists with other aspects of the event.

“We volunteer in the Sister Cities Association’s tent to inform people about the exchange program and guide them to information about our sister city, Billericay, England,” WCC co-president Matt Woolf said.

Key Club will be working on both days of the fair, while WCC will only work on Sunday.

“I’m looking forward to helping out, making a difference, and having fun while doing it,” Ali said.
