March Madness Final Four

The time has finally come, the final four has finally come. People from all across the nation are holding their brackets tightly, hoping what they predicted came to past. Though, many say this has been the craziest year yet for college basketball, with people throwing their brackets in the fire, and down right breaking down into tears over their failed prediction. Furthermore, the teams that have made it this far, and managed to slide through the brackets are as followed: University of South Carolina Gamecocks, Gonzaga University Zags, University of Oregon Ducks, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Tar Heels.

With Gonzaga versus South Carolina and Oregon versus North Carolina on April 1st, it is sure to be a very eventful night, with it being anyones game.

Fans were left shaken when game against North Carolina and Kentucky took a shocking turn. Although fan favorites North Carolina came through and won the game, it was close with the score of 75-73. It is North Carolina’s second time in a row of making it to the final four, they came first runner up overall in last years tournament.

The Oregon Ducks won their game against Kansas 74-60, the Gonzaga Bulldogs scored 83 points over Xavier’s 59 points, and South Carolina beat Florida with the score of 77-70. For some of the teams, it would be their very first time every being apart of the final four like Gonzaga and South Carolina. Oregon has made it this far, but not since 1939. North Carolina on the other hand has seen and experienced the final four well over 15 times, so they know the ropes.

The fans of these four colleges are left in a frenzy, social media has been some of the best ways to show their school spirit, with snapchat being won of the top ways to show the love for their school. These fans can be seen partying and cheering their team from bars, hotels and even the comfort of their own home. Although their has been some name calling and some smack talking between schools on who is going to win each game, it is why this month is truly called March Madness.
