How Did Students Study for AP Exams?

The past two weeks have been rigorous for those taking AP exams. These exams cover many subjects, and offer dual credit for college and high school. Some students study for months, while some cram the night before or don’t study at all.
Sophomore Gabby Combs said, “I studied out of the book, I watched many videos about the subjects and I tried to go to review sessions but I was really busy.” Students also went to teacher sponsored review sessions or review sessions with their friends, such as Freshman Brienne Arnold.
“I went to a lot of study sessions, like in the library or with friends.” Arnold said, “I’ve made a lot of quizlets, and I’ve looked through a bunch of powerpoints.” There seem to be more than enough resources, including books such as ‘Barron’s’ books and the ‘Five Steps to a Five’ which are only two of the many options.
A widely advocated method by other students and teachers alike is to make a schedule early and start studying early to make sure that they are as prepared for the exam as they can possibly be. Freshman Alyssa Carlson said that she started preparing early, “I set up a study schedule so I evened out the workload throughout the month” Carlson said. Whatever method of studying (or not studying) is used, exam takers can only hope that it will be enough for test day.
