Royal in the Pros: Gary Harris

After signing a four-year contract extension for 84-million dollars in 2017, HSE graduate, Gary Harris is playing for the Denver Nuggets. This season Harris is averaging 10.6 points per game and playing over 30 minutes a game. Harris is also shooting 41.4% on field goals and 36.8% from the three-point line. The Nuggets have had a hot start to the season with a record of 14-7 which is first in the Northwest Division and fifth in the Western Conference. So far, this season has not been the best scoring-wise for the 25-year-old. After averaging 17.5 points in the 2017-2018 season, his points per game average has decreased. This is due to the fact that he is averaging three less shots per game since that season and the surge of, Nuggets all-stars, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. As the season presses on, Harris and the Nuggets look to continue their hot start and push for a playoff spot in a highly competitive Western Conference.
