HSEHS Yearbook Distribution Update

Sceptre Staff

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Hamilton Southeastern High School Yearbook Distribution Update

A timely yearbook delivery is of utmost priority for the Student Media advisers and student staff members at HSEHS. As our award-winning Sceptre yearbook and student staff members have been hard at work since last summer creating content used to serve as a great reflection of the 2019-20 school year, we understand the importance of getting yearbooks distributed as quickly as possible; we take great pride in showcasing the hard work of our students and are as excited as anyone to have yearbooks distributed each year.

The HSEHS yearbook is managedprinted, and shipped from the Kansas City Herff Jones yearbook production plant in Edwardsville, Kansas, which had been closed since late March due to COVID-19 directives from the Kansas governor. While production at the Kansas City plant started back up yesterday, we will not be able to distribute our yearbooks during our previously planned distribution window of May 13-15.

Additionally, the HSEHS yearbook contains a Spring supplement traditionally used to highlight the school musical, Spring sports, as well as events such as prom. Our student staff members have turned their attention for the supplement this year to creating a timely representation of school closure and student life due to stay-at-home orders to ensure the 2019-20 school year will be represented in its entirety, which is our primary mission as a Student Media staff.

We are anticipating and looking forward to a summer yearbook distribution opportunity and will distribute yearbooks to the student body as soon as they are received from Herff Jones. As usual, a limited amount of yearbooks will be available for purchase at that time as pre-order sales have concluded

Thank you for your patience as we work through this unprecedented time in documenting the 2019-20 school year.
