Q: How has your season gone so far, in comparison to what you thought it might’ve looked like before the season started?

A: My season has gone very well so far. I thought that this season would be more a struggle because I wasn’t able to put in the extra time into the sport like I wanted to, but I’ve been able to make the most of it.

Q: For the team, what have been the best things to come from such an unpredictable year?

A: From a year like this, the best thing that has come from this team is the bond that we have all made with each other and the hard work that we all put in to get better and become a top 20 team.

Q: What has impressed you most about this team so far this year?

A: What has impressed me most about the team this year is how talented our team is for being so young.

Q: What have been the biggest challenges that have come up for your team this year?

A: The biggest challenge for us this year has been trying to get mat time and matches this year we haven’t had as any matches as we have had in the past which gives us less times to go out and perform.

Q: How has your season gone so far, in comparison to what you thought it might’ve looked like before the season started?

A: My season so far has felt really short. This year a lot of tournaments and duals that we have every year have been cancelled so we haven’t gotten that many matches compared to previous years. I was contact traced towards the beginning of the season, and I also suffered an injury to my knee so on top of the lack of matches I, personally, have missed even more.

Q: For the team, what have been the best things to come from such an unpredictable year?

A: With a lot of our usual tournaments being cancelled, our team has been able to pick up matches against teams we don’t usually wrestle against. I think this is helpful, especially for the veteran wrestlers on the team because they get to go against new competition that we usually never wrestle against.

Q: What has impressed you most about this team so far this year?

A: After last year we lost a lot of talent and this year’s team is relatively young, only having three seniors. That being said we have still been able to compete and even beat some of the top twenty teams in the state. I was expecting this year to be more of a rebuilding year for our program, however, we have looked really good this season.

Q: What have been the biggest challenges that have come up for your team this year?

A: I think the biggest challenge for our team this year has been trying to gin fuels and tournaments to compete in across the state in such short notice. For instance, this year we had a tournament that got cancelled so we found a tournament all the way in Columbus, Indiana three days before it was scheduled to occur. During the season, the week before every competition we had to prepare like we were going to wrestle not knowing if we actually were going to be able to.
