Boys Soccer Double-Header Recap 9/26

Adam Hipsky

This past weekend, the Royals played host to two teams that came down from Northwest Indiana. The Homestead Spartans made the trip as well as the Carroll Chargers.

The Royals opened up the day by taking on the 6-8-1 Homestead Spartans. It didn’t take HSE long and get on the board. HSE got a PK from Oscar Tittle, and Logan Wright buried it. Tittle then scored himself just a few minutes later, giving HSE an early 2-0 lead over Homestead. Right before halftime, Homestead was able to muscle one back. The game was tied 2-1 at halftime, with HSE leading Homestead 2-1. In the second half, Tyler Hall added a third goal and Evan Dawdy added a fourth to give HSE a 4-1 lead. That’s how the game ended, with HSE defeating Homestead 4-1.

HSE’s doubleheader versus Ft. Wayne Carroll ended in a 0-0 draw. The Royals celebrated and honored their 7 seniors before the game against the Chargers. Both teams gave everything they had but were unable to complete their chances. It was a difficult and long battle all the way through. The game concluded the regular season for the Royals. Hamilton Southeastern finishes the year at 10-4-2. The Royals will compete in sectionals next. Come out and support your HSE boys soccer team at the Noblesville sectional.
