Athlete Q and A with Christian Miller

Nick Eynon

Today I had to privilege of asking Christian Miller some questions about his football experience so far, here is what he had to say.

Q: What position do you play?

A: Cornerback

Q: what are you looking forward to most about next season?

A: I think the thing I’m looking forward to most is beating the teams we did last year again and hopefully mercy ruling our first four opponents again…. We have a big target on our head people have our games marked on their calendars a lot of people want revenge on us, I’m looking forward to that challenge.

Q: What do you do to stay in shape during the offseason?

A: I’m a track varsity sprinter, that season is about to start up but that’s what I do to stay ready.

Q: Do you have any advice for incoming freshman who might want to play football?

A: There’s no reason for you to not play football in high school. Especially coming into high school it’s hard to meet new people but playing football gives you brothers and relationships that you’ll never forget and cherish for the rest of your life. Practice during the week can be rough but those Friday nights and Saturday mornings are always worth it!

Q: What is your favorite moment from your football career so far?

A: I think my favorite football memory was from this years sectional game against Fishers.  I was sick all week and didn’t practice till Thursday one day before the game. I’m a WyldLife leader and that Thursday night we were playing a game and I got my two front teeth knocked back. I was up till about 1 am getting them fixed, that didn’t stop me though I still played in the game and we ended up shutting them out. It was pouring rain but that didn’t matter the student section stayed and when we won they stormed the field.
