			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In March 2004, HSE was informed by Birmingham Heartlands Chest Clinic of a number of cases of extrinsic<span id="more-4006"></span> allergic alveolitis in Powertrain employees prompting further investigation. Powertrain Limited, produced engine components, which are machined by various tools that use water-mix metalworking fluids which create mist in the factory. By March 2006 the cases of probable and definite work-related respiratory disease had reached 1021 mainly of occupational asthma (OA) and extrinsic allergic alveolitis (EAA).</p>
