The HSE ‘struck by’ initiative was part of a 2-year workplace transport project running from April 2006 - March 2008 aimed at reducing the number of incidents.</p>
<p>The initiative consisted of a targeted audit, that involved reviewing transport activities undertaken in the manufacturing sector and parts of the service industries (eg waste disposal) several large companies were targeted to take part. This work is described in this report.</p>
