Issue 4 Correction of Eid

The recent issue published of The Orb has some incorrect information of the Eid holiday, found on page seven, brought to our attention. Here is some correct information about the Muslim holiday.

1. Eid is two holidays one known as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan while Eid al-Adha, which follows the Hajj, honors Abraham’s willing to sacrifice his son at Allah’s request.

2. Eid is not a regional holiday not just celebrated by Pakistan but a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims all around the world.

3. The main purpose of Eid is not to honor the Prophet Muhammad but again to honor Abraham’s ability to be willing to sacrifice his child to Allah and to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
