Sophomores Julia Stringfield and Mannley Randolph are one of the many couples who are frequently seen together in the halls. How they differ from other couples, however, is their hair. Randolph has gone from a striking green colored hair to a dark blue, to even pink, often with Stringfield’s hair matching his own.

“It was my decision to dye our hair together,” Stringfield said. “I pressured him a lot. I really like dying my hair, and I don’t like kids with blond hair. Since he is a natural blond, I told him I wanted to dye his hair. It’s natural now, but we may be dying his hair a fun color soon, so stay tuned.”

Stringfield and Randolph met and started dating in their freshman year, and have been together for over a year.

“We first met because my girl friend at the time was best friends with him, and then she introduced him to me and we became good friends, then we started dating,” Stringfield said.

The couple has not dyed their hair together in a while, however, and are thus less noticeable together in the hallways.

“I went back to natural because I had dyed it so frequently that it started falling out more easily, and I would rather be healthy than unique,” Randolph said.
