Things to do for a Staycation

If you are staying in Indiana for spring break, it may feel like there is nothing to do around town. However, there are several local places worth a visit.

Broad Ripple Village

Broad Ripple Village has over 150 different restaurants to choose from, ranging from sushi to burgers. Many are catered to specificities; for example, some are vegetarian and some are dog friendly. After grabbing a bite to eat, you could do some shopping at local shops. Indy CD and Vinyl record store carries a wide variety of music. If shopping is not your forte, you can stop by one of the many art galleries and take a look at local artist’s work.

Bankers Life Fieldhouse

If you are interested in professional sports, the Indiana Pacers will be playing the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on April 6. Tickets start as low as $20, but prices can vary, depending on the desired seats and the number of seats purchased. The basketball game will begin at 7 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.

Holliday Park

If you are looking to save some money but still get out of the house, Holliday Park is an admission free park. The park is available to the public from dusk to dawn every day. The park includes a nature center, which focuses on educating people about different aspects of nature. The park also features a large playground and multiple trails along the White River.
