San Diego Chargers moving to Los Angles

NFL team San Diego Chargers Chairmen Dean Spanos announced on Jan. 12 that the Chargers would be moving to Los Angles. This will be their first season back to Los Angles since 1960. The Chargers have been playing in San Diego for 56 years building a strong fan base, but Spanos is still pushing for the move to Los Angles. Following the announcement of the move, the Chargers showed off their new logo, although they will be continuing the use of the old logo for now. This move will begin with the 2017 football season. The Chargers were planning on playing with the Rams in the new stadium, being built in Inglewood, but with it being too expensive and the NFL’s stadium and finance committees focusing on Las Vegas and the Raiders, it was decided that the Chargers will be playing their next two seasons at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA which has 30,000 seats. Dean Spanos reasoning for the move back to Los Angles is that he feels being in San Diego won’t allow them to compete financially with the other NFL teams. When it comes time for the actual move it is going to prove to be the hardest part with many local moving companies refusing to move the Chargers to Los Angles.
