The month of October is an exciting month filled with pumpkins, apple cider, flannels autumn leaves and most of all, Halloween. Halloween is the time of year when people of all ages, dress up and have a good time either trick or treating or going to a party. The days leading up to the big day are filled with decorating the house, creating spooky treats and most of all watching some great Halloween movies. Listed below are some of the most popular Halloween movies.

Halloweentown

This is a classic Disney Channel original about a group of siblings and their grandma going to a spooky, magical place called Halloweentown. The three kids and their grandma are on a mission to save Halloweentown from evil.

Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of Tim Burton’s greatest movies, which takes a twist on both Halloween and Christmas. Jack, king of Halloweentown, longs for a life that does not involve being king of Halloweentown. He finds himself lost in the Christmas town. The movie can be enjoyed during both holidays and proves to be one of the greatest claymation movies of all time.

Coraline

Coraline is a creepy movie based on a young girl who was a little too curious and found herself walking through a secret door, which took her to an altered reality.

Corpse Bride

Corpse Bride is a Burton movie based on two families that have an arranged marriage between their son and daughter. It is not as well known as Tim burtons other movies, but it is a great movie.

Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus is a fun movie all about three sisters who so happen to be evil quirky witches, who were resurrected on Halloween. It is up to two teenagers to defeat the sisters forever.

Twitches

Two girls who realize they are twin sisters on their 21 birthday, use their witch powers to save the world. If you loved the television show Sister, Sister, then you will enjoy the movie twitches, since it is staring the same twins, Tia and Tamar Morwy.

Monster House

Monster House is a movie about three nosy kids who think the house across the street is alive and haunted. Together they explore and get swallowed up by the house, trying to find a way to escape.
