Royal in the Pros: Tre Gantt

Tre Gantt played baseball at HSE from 2011-2015. After his high school career, he went on the play college baseball at Ohio State University. Gantt spent 3 seasons at Ohio State before being drafted in 2017. During his time at Ohio State, He totaled 122 hits and a .294 batting average through 139 games. The 23 year old is a natural lefty who plays in the outfield. Gantt was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2017 in the 29th round where he has played on a few different farm teams. These teams consist of the Columbus Clippers, Lynchburg Hillcats, Lake County Captains, and Mahoning Valley Scrappers. During his first two years in the minors, Gantt had 54 hits and 25 RBIs in 93 games. The left fielder was released on March 28th by the Lake County Captain but looks to be picked up by another team once the season is underway.
