SSN: Dark horses To Make A Deep Run in The NCAA Tournament

Davis Gerig

The first team I have making a deep tournament run come out of the BIG 12 conference, and it is the West Virginia Mountaineers. With a front court containing Derek Culver and Jalen Bridges and then adding the backcourt of Sean McNeil and Miles McBride this team finished 4th in the big 12 arguably the hardest conference to play in. They finished their season with a 18-10 record. West Virginia is bound to make something happen in March.

The next team I have again coming out of the BIG 12 finished with a record of 20-8 is Oklahoma State. With star freshman guard Cade Cunningham they beat teams like number 1 Baylor, Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas. With the help of Kalib Boone and Avery Anderson alongside Cunningham this team is sure to make for a fun tournament.

The final team I have for this article is the Illinois fighting illini. This team is playing in the BIG 10 Another one of the best conferences. playing in the Big Ten championship this team could finish their season 23-6. With guys like Kofi Cockburn leading the front court and Ayo Dusunmo and adding a guy like Trent Frazier this team beats teams like Ohio State and they even beat Michigan by 23 points without their best player shows this team could be a one seed and make it to the final four.

These teams are all going to be threats to go far.
