Mackenzie Dreher

Steve Guenin has been the Girls Golf coach at Hamilton Southeastern High School for the past twenty-one years. Creating a memorable and comfortable experience for his players is something he does best.

In the past Guenin played football, baseball and swam at Marion High School. He then attended Indiana State University and pursed baseball. Guenin playing golf as a leisurely activity has led the HSE girls golf team to victory multiple times.

When asked who his coaching inspirations were Guenin stated a few,  “John Wooden, Brad Stevens, Jack Colescott, Gregg Popovich, and Phil Jackson.” He tries to learn and take important lessons from all coaches. Learning from other coaches helps improve his abilities as a coach and can improve his players attitude.

Guenin says some of the most influential people in his life are coaches and that is why he strived to be one. His time playing sports under the influence of a coach are some of his most memorable experiences. He wants to create that same memorable and exciting experience for all his players.
