Throughout her career, senior Riley Makalusky has been a great attribute to the Hamilton Southeastern Girl’s Basketball team. She has had minutes on the varsity team since her freshman year, averaging 13.2 minutes a game. Apart from her major leadership role on the team, Makalusky also prioritizes family time, playing alongside her sister at HSE.

“This was probably the best year I’ve had at HSE. I had the best relationships with my teammates no matter their age and we all built a close bond. I’m so happy with my senior year and these girls will always be my best friends.” -Makalusky

With the Girl’s Basketball season now over, the future of Riley Makalusky’s career continues to intrigue our readers. She plans on attending Bulter University in the fall, furthering her athletic and academic career. She will play basketball and continue to compete well as a Bulldog. For now, Makalusky will continue to practice and prepare for the new beginnings and great opportunities ahead.

Makalusky’s win is a direct result of the democratic voting process taken on Southeastern Sports Network’s Instagram page where the students of HSE vote on who should win. Stay tuned for next month!
