Leaving the field and taking the royal runway, the HSE Football/Competition Cheer program will be hosting a fall fashion show at Wasson’s Nursery Nov. 12 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. As a day of fashion, food and refreshments this event is open to the community and all are welcome. Guests are encouraged to bring donations and help support the HSE Cheer program. Senior Lydia Eisenmann describes the fashion show and the purpose it serves.
“[The fashion show] is to raise money for the UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) nationals and to entertain our supporters,” Eisenmann said. “We hope to receive enough money to pay the room fee at nationals in Disney World this coming February.”
Special guest, a meteorologist from SkyTrak 13 Weather Team and former HSE cheerleader, Angela Buchman, will be returning for her second year as an MC for the event. Buchman will not be the only one showing up to support the Royals, local vendors will also be around to display their holiday gift ideas.
“It’s really great that we can have Angela as the MC because she is locally known,” Eisenmann said. “She can bring in more donations and help increase ticket sales.”
“Football only” cheerleaders will also be participating in the event alongside HSE’s competition cheerleaders to help raise money and support for Royal’s cheerleading as a whole. The girls have worked together with their coach, local boutiques and brands to put on a show for the community.
“The more cheerleaders, the more connections we can get to increase donations,” Eisenmann said. “And the more participants the better the show!”
