Mudsock recap- Boys Basketball

A look into this past Friday’s biggest rival game between Hamilton Southeastern Royals and Fishers Tigers

The (2-2) Hamilton Southeastern Royals took on the (6-0) Fishers tigers this past Friday for basketball. With Fishers controlling the Mudsock trophy the last couple years for basketball the Royals went into this game with some fire under their belt. This game consisted of seven ties and five lead changes, but it was the final minutes that decided this game. Senior guard Nate Orr brought the royals within two points early in the 4th quarter before the Tigers went on a run and took control of this game. The tigers ended up winning 64-57 in yet another Mudsock thriller. John Harrel a credible High school basketball analyst had the spread for the Tigers to win this game by close to 30 points. Senior Keenan Garner led the tigers with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots. The difference for this game was the depth that fishers has outscoring the Royals bench 24-12. Taden Metzger another bright spot for the Tigers who finished with 12 points, going 3 for 5 from behind the arc helping the team shoot over 65% from the field in the first half. Nate Orr led the team in scoring with 18 points and Michael Griffith was great for the Royals finishing with 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Donovan Hamilton had 8 points, six rebounds, four assists and two huge, blocked shots. Sophomore Maverick Young who will be a big piece of this team in the future had 2 clutch threes at the end of the game. The Royals take on Christel House Academy this Friday make sure to show out for the Royals.
