Pumping her arms, Freshman Ellie Johnson turns the corner at HSE. “Cross country has taught me to use time management to get all of my work done,” Johnson said. “It has taught me that if you work hard and put your mind to something you can accomplish big things.”
Jumping over a hay bale, Sophomore Katie Edwards finishes the race. “The hardest part about cross country is mentally preparing yourself for a race,” Edwards said. “Make sure you eat and drink well the day of.”
Beginning the race, Freshman Brooke Ratliff runs at the first meet of the season. “Before a meet, I prepare by getting pumped up and dancing,” Ratliff said.
