Rogue One Movie Review

26200797002_95a305038a_bRogue One was the gritty Star Wars film fans deserved wrapped in a package of tragedy and noble sacrifice. While The Force Awakens offered a revamp of the classic nostalgia of episodes IV, V and VI, Rogue One covers the events leading straight into A New Hope. A group of rebels are tasked with the job of stealing Death Star plans and are faced with trials unparalleled in the other Star Wars films. Jyn Erso is the female hero fans wanted with Rey, but weren’t delivered, and her rugged determination gets her out of some tough places and right into some tougher ones. Filled with twists, tears and triumph, Rogue One astonishes with its brilliance down until the last second. While the film was terrific, fans should be prepared going into the movie knowing they are about to board and emotional rollercoaster that may leave them feeling drained when the credits roll. Despite this, Rogue One stands alone from other Star Wars films in the sense of its dark colors, intense themes and political undertones. May The Force Be With those who want to watch this movie without getting emotionally involved.
