The Inspiration Behind, Conspiracy Theories Club

As her first year of high school comes to an end, Rebecca Rhodes reflects on all her accomplishments of her freshmen year. Her biggest accomplishment is the Conspiracy Theories Club.  The club gives students a chance to discuss different theories and hear everyone’s opinion about them.

“I Started the Conspiracy Theory Club because my friends and I were talking about a theory at lunch”, Rhodes said. “I suggested we start a club and it happened.”

The club is all about Conspiracies Theories, such as the JonBenet Ramsey Case, along with other random things that come up in conversations. Through this club Rhodes has learned many new theories and has met some of her closest friends. She loves the atmosphere of laughter, brainstorming, and learning new things every other week.

“What interest me about conspiracy theories is the number of things you are able to talk about”, Rhodes said. “The number of outcomes to the topic you’re discussing.”

When Rhodes came to HSEHS she never imagined she would start a club or even be interested in starting a club. Through the club she had learned to be a stronger leader and is learning how to talk in front of people she doesn’t know.

“My ultimate goal when starting Conspiracy Theory Club was to meet new people”, Rhodes said. “Also to grow friendships with people who have the same interests as me and others.”

The club has blossomed into one of the more talked about clubs around the school. The club meets every other Wednesday in F226.

“People should join Conspiracy Theory club because it’s a good way to spend your Wednesday afternoon with your friends,” Rhodes said. “And talk about conspiracy theories.” Story by: Lily Wray
