Future Farmers of America

This week the hallways are lining up with students in camouflage to take part in the Future Farmers of America spirit week. These students are taking part in Wednesday’s camouflage day, Thursday’s crazy sock day and the day the majority of the student body is excited for, the petting zoo.

On Friday in room A132 in the welding shop, students from the small animals class along with FFA students will be holding animals such as llamas, bunnies, goats as well as other animals that students that have been taking the small animals class have been learning to take care of. Sophmore, Marina Cridge has been attended the FFA petting zoo for the last two years and has loved it. “My favorite part about the petting zoo is seeing all the different animals,” Marina Cridge said. “As well as seeing all the students put a passion in to raising the animals.” The animals will be in cages, well taken care of while HSE students get a chance to come and first-hand experience the animals that the FFA deal with on the daily basis.

So in between classes, take a break from your books and take a stop at the petting zoo to get a small glimpse at how the Future Farmers of America treat their animals and if it captures your interest, check out their website http://hamiltonsoutheasternffa.weebly.com for more information in how you can take part around the community.
