On May 2nd, 2024, the Boys Track and Field Team ran at the Hamilton County conference meet (HCC). The Royals took home 4th in the meet and is looking towards County May 9th, 2024.

At the HCC meet Junior Cristian Ortiz ran the 200-meter dash. In the preliminaries Ortiz cruised across the line, with a time of 22.44 seconds. In the finals, Ortiz dominated, running a time of 21.71 seconds.

Senior Blake Braden competed In the Long Jump. Braden placed 5th with a jump of 21’7”. Braden improving, has earned himself a spot in the sectional road to state in the long jump.

Senior Josiah Bird competed in the Discus and Shot Put. In the Discus Bird placed second with a throw of 171’ 8”. In the Shot-Put Bird earned himself a 1st place finish, with a throw of 56’ 4.50”

Junior Connor Langsford, Pole Vaulter for the Royals placed second with a jump of 14’6”. Earning the Royals points on the field side.In the boys 400-meter dash senior Hunter Hoeft placed third with a time of 49.39. Setting himself a new personal record.

The boys team continues to make a name for themselves, they look ahead in hopes of bringing home the state title. The Royals have proven themselves after being left out of the preseason rankings and are showing that they were left out. The royals look ahead at the county meet, in hopes to become County champions.
