The 2024 baseball season is right around the corner, Hamilton Southeastern Senior Outfielder Kam Seitz begins to prepare for his final year as a royal. Seitz has been part of the team since his Freshman year. Being around the program, Seitz knows what it takes to win here at HSE. Going into the season Seitz feels “like we [HSE] could be the best team in the conference, and win the sectional,” said Seitz. “As an individual player this is the most prepared, I’ve ever felt, because of the experience from last year” explained Seitz, regarding how he feels going into his final season.

Seitz plans to play baseball at the collegiate level, though is undecided as to where at. Seitz explains the thought process of thinking about the new chapter and leaving the Royals program after being involved with the team since birth as a “super emotional” process.

Seitz sets his eyes on a state championship, as well as more goals Seitz wants to “Make the North/South All-Star team.” Being rostered on the all-star teams isn’t easy, but Seitz believes he has what it takes to be selected on a team. He has improved from his junior year by “a ton of off-season work in hitting, throwing, and the weight room.”

Seitz has learned many things from HSE Royals baseball, but what he learned most is “how to be a good teammate, and to play to win rather than for yourself.” He has learned that baseball is more about building trust, teamwork, and building a brotherhood. Instead of being so set and focused on himself.

Baseball was quickly a huge impact for Seitz. “Being around it, my whole life has been the biggest blessing I could’ve asked for through all the amazing players I’ve watched and looked up to and my teammates I’ve grown up with” explained Seitz, when asked how HSE baseball impacted him as a person and as a player. Seitz is ready for a huge final season. As he sets his sights to the end goal, the state title.
